AND CHERTOFF: COUSIN WROTE 9/11 PROPAGANDA FOR POPULAR MECHANICS
Dictators
have always employed nepotism, the placing of family members in key positions, for one simple reason: only loyal family members
can be trusted with the secrets that keep them in power. For this reason the shameless nepotism of the Bush administration
should alarm Americans because it indicates that a dictatorship is encroaching upon the United States.
The Defense Department defines nepotism as the situation when relatives are in the same chain-of-command. .
With high federal offices being given to the wives, sons and daughters of senior members of the Bush administration,
the Hearst Corporation executives that publish Popular Mechanics magazine probably didn't worry about the ethical considerations
of hiring a cousin of Michael Chertoff, a former Assistant Attorney General and the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland
Security (DHS), as senior researcher.
But the March 2005 issue of Popular Mechanics (PM) plumbs new depths of nepotism and Hearst-style "yellow journalism"
with its cover story about 9/11. PM's senior researcher, 25-year-old Benjamin Chertoff, authored a propagandistic cover story
entitled "Debunking 9/11 Lies" which seeks to discredit all independent 9/11 research that challenges the official version
of events. READ MORE

Roll Call’s Mary Ann Akers will reveal Thursday that Defense
Secretary Donald Rumsfeld dined earlier this week with Fox News CEO Roger Ailes and Sen. John Thune, the man who took out
former Democratic Minority Leader Sen. Tom Daschle, RAW STORY has learned.
The dinner, Akers is set to report, included Rumsfeld, Deputy Secretary
of State Robert Zoellick, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. John Jumper, Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, conservative columnist William
Safire and Wall Street Journal editorial page editor Paul Gigot, and their wives.
America's media, already
reeling from the Jayson Blair plagiarism scandal, has been rocked by the revelation that yet another top reporter has been
making up news stories. Jack Kelley, senior foreign correspondent for USA Today and a Pulitzer Prize nominee, has been faking
major foreign news stories for several years, the paper confessed last week.
The US media, already reeling from the Jayson
Blair plagiarism scandal, has been rocked by the revelation that yet another top reporter has been making up news stories.
Jack Kelley, senior foreign correspondent for USA Today and a Pulitzer Prize nominee, has been faking major foreign
news stories for several years, the paper confessed last week.
US reporter exposed
by Pakistani newsman – Kelley made up bogus eyewitnesses and translators for reimbursement money
An American reporter who got
himself reimbursed, having claimed to have paid over $3,000 to a Pakistani “legman” or helper, is now proved to
have cheated his employers. Jack Kelly, former star reporter for US Today, pocketed $3,450 he claimed to have paid Pakistani
reporter and translator Mushtaq Yusufzai for helping him reach a tiny helmet along the Pak-Afghan border in 2002. When questions
began to be raised about the authenticity of several stories Mr Kelly had claimed to have done on the basis of first-hand
experience, observation or information, his Al Qaeda story too came under scrutiny. It was found that he could not possibly
have travelled to the area he claimed to have gone into, nor had he made those payments to his Pakistani assistant. Mr Yusufzai
told USA Today that he had never worked with Mr Kelly and, moreover, the signature on the expense account claim “was
not my signature.” Mr Kelly had claimed that Mr Yusufzai had worked for him for 23 days, when the two had had no such
relationship.
FLASHBACK: USA Today’s Jack Kelley Behind
Bogus Kosovo Genocide News Reports
Although USA Today has examined several Kelley
stories, the focus remains on his 1999 front-page report that human rights activist Natasa Kandic, who was not named in the
article, had obtained "a Yugoslav army three-ring notebook" that "contains a direct order to a lieutenant to 'cleanse' " a
village in Kosovo.
It sounds just like a news report. A professional-sounding
voice says transportation leaders are calling on Congress to spend more on transit, then introduces a sound bite from Charlotte
transit chief Ron Tober. It wraps up with the tagline, "Larry Stevens, reporting from Washington." "However, it is propaganda,
plain and simple -- and unethical to boot," said Susan Tifft, a former associate editor at Time magazine, in a news release
of her own. She's now the Eugene C. Patterson Professor of the Practice of Journalism at Duke University's Terry Sanford Institute
of Public Policy.
In a joint statement,
the groups, including the Association of Health Care Journalists and the Society of Environmental Journalists, said, "We ask
that public agencies stop producing videos that imitate television news stories or use announcers that identify themselves
as reporters. Viewers expect a reporter to be a journalist employed by a news organization. In this case, the so-called reporter
was working for a public relations firm hired by a government agency. We find that misidentification unacceptable."

DEPT. OF HOMELAND SECURITY SHOOTS DOWN
MOVIE
SCRIPT
A Los Angeles screenwriter is claiming that the
Department of Homeland Security has informed him that he may not use
the
agency's name "or any of the Department's official visual identities"
in the
script for his film, Lady Magdalene, despite the fact that the film
presents
a positive image of the DHS. The writer, J. Neil Schulman, said Tuesday
that
he had received a notice from Bobbie Faye Ferguson, director of the
NHS's
office of multimedia, informing him that his "project does not fit
within
the DHS mission and that it is not something we can participate in." In
response, Schulman wrote to Ferguson that he had already received
assistance
from a special agent of the NHS's air marshal service while he was
preparing
his screenplay and that the agency's notice to him now represents a
violation of his First Amendment rights. "Merely the claim that you
have the
power to restrict such official images is chilling to the process of
writing
and producing a movie -- and certainly to an independent film in
pre-production with a start date for principal photography only six
weeks
away," Schulman wrote. (Read Operation Hollywood - by David Robb for

Declassification in Reverse: Pentagon purges
National

The Pentagon and the U.S. Intelligence
Community's
Secret Historical Document Reclassification Program - Washington, D.C.,
February 21, 2006 - The CIA and other federal agencies have secretly
reclassified over 55,000 pages of records taken from the open shelves
at the
National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), according to a
report
published today on the World Wide Web by the National Security Archive
at
George Washington University. Matthew Aid, author of the report and a
visiting fellow at the Archive, discovered this secret program through
his
wide-ranging research in intelligence, military, and diplomatic records
at
NARA and found that the CIA and military agencies have reviewed
millions of
pages at an unknown cost to taxpayers in order to sequester documents
from
collections that had been open for years. Read

NSA HIRES NEWS AGENCIES
In a recent letter released under the Freedom
of
Information Act, the NSA Director of Policy said that the National
Security
Agency (NSA) has contracts to pay news agencies for information,
according
to Narcosphere News. However, NSA authorities refused to reveal details
of
the contracts or what information is being purchased. The NSA letter
gave as
little information as possible, but it did reveal the names of two wire
services that it is paying - Reuters and the Associated Press. In
response
to a request about the nature of the contracts, the letter also
reportedly
said, “The NSA contract with these companies precludes our release of
this
information. Violation of these contracts could prevent the government
from
obtaining similar information in the future.” Some government agencies
purchase news wire services, however the level of secrecy and
defensiveness
in the NSA statement has analysts concerned. If the NSA simply
purchased
news wire services, it would have no reason to protect that information
from
being released. Read

U.S. says bin Laden's tape "genuine" ( Big
Brother propaganda)
Just as George W's poll numbers sink to another
new
low, and confidence is getting harder to come by... We get a "new" Bin
Laden
tape. Either someone is pulling our legs here, or the Bush regime is at
it
again, sending the people another "message" in the guise of Mr
Goldstein AKA
UBL: "The al-Qaida leadership is on the run and under a lot of
pressure,"
McClellan said at a Marine base in Twentynine Palms, California, where
Bush
was having lunch with military families. "We are on the advance. They
are on
the run," he said. The remarks were made in response to bin Laden's new
threats onan audiotape broadcast on the pan-Arab television al-Jazeera,
in
which he accused the United States and Europe of supporting a "Zionist"
war
on Islam by cutting off funds to the Hamas-led Palestinian government.
In
the tape, bin Laden also urged followers to go to Sudan, his former
base, to
fight a proposed UN peacekeeping force. - Reports here said al-Jazeera
appeared to have had the tape long enough to make significant edits,
with
its news reader providing background comments. The network broadcast
about
five minutes of the tape in all.

FLASHBACK: Bush says bin Laden helped in

President Bush said he believes his 2004
re-election
victory over Sen. John Kerry was inadvertently aided by Osama bin

issued a taped diatribe against him the Friday before Americans went to
the
polls, The Examiner newspaper reported on Tuesday. Bush said there were
“enormous amounts of discussion” inside his campaign about the
15-minute
tape, which he called “an interesting entry by our enemy” into the
presidential race. Bush’s comments in the Washington newspaper were
excerpts
from the new book “Strategery” by Bill Sammon, a long-time White House
correspondent. (this all makes more sense if you read the stories

FLASHBACK: AP Recycles Old Bin Laden Tape
For
New Propaganda
"I will not be taken Alive" says the "new" Bin
Laden
tape... Using the justification that it was 'complete' - the Associated
Press reported on a month old alleged bin Laden audio tape as if it was
a
new story. Either it was a quiet weekend or this is another branch of
Rumsfeld's black propaganda campaign. It's a shame that the major
disinfo
news organs don't have as much zeal to update other fairly important
news
items. Did the fact that several of the alleged 9/11 hijackers turned
up
alive weeks after the attack provoke a rash of top of the bill
headlines?
No, it was picked up by a couple of outlets and it certainly wasn't
given
any major play. Some Islamic websites re-posted the old bin Laden tape
and
the AP thought this deserved major coverage, as did Drudge who put it
at the
top of his page. If the same websites had re-posted old articles about
9/11
would we be reading 'Twin Towers Attacked' headlines today? No we would
not.
Should it concern us that such websites have very strong US
connections?

Bin Laden tapes are as phony as Sept. 11's
connection to
Islam
The top American bin Laden expert agrees.
Professor
Bruce Lawrence, head of Duke University's religious studies department,
has
just published a book of translations of bin Laden's speeches. He says
that
the recent tape is a fake and that it is possible bin Laden is not even
alive. Fake bin Laden tapes, "verified" by the CIA, are nothing new.
Every
supposed bin Laden statement since 2001 has been blatantly bogus. The
last
we heard from the real bin Laden came in his post-9/11 statements to
Pakistani journalists: "I stress that I have not carried out this act,
which
appears to have been carried out by individuals with their own
motivation.
... I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September
attacks
in the United States. ... I had no knowledge of these attacks." Read

Latest Osama Tape Appears Fake, Experts

May 30, 2006 -- The latest audio tape

Osama bin Laden appears to be one more installment in a succession of
evidence fabricated by the US government to deceive the American
people,
according to Scholars for 9/11 Truth. "This tape is only the latest in
a
series of fabrications intended to mislead the American people," said
James

truth
about 9/11, the more furiously the government fights to conceal it!" He
said
members of Scholars and other experts had detected evidence of
fakery.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi: Dead Again
SUMMER OF FEAR: I’d have to say this is
backwards. In
fact, the “propaganda program” was aimed primarily at Americans, who
need a
scary Freddy Kruger Muslim to convince them the occupation of Iraq is
necessary. More scary demons will be required soon for a shock and awe
attack unleashed against Iran. - Of course, it is only natural to kill
off
al-Zarqawi once again. Earlier this year, the Pentagon released a
video,
allegedly discovered “by US forces in a hideout in the Al-Yusufiyah
neighborhood of southern Baghdad,” showing al-Zarqawi (or a person we
are
told is al-Zarqawi), wearing New Balance tennis shoes and fumbling with
a
U.S. M-249 squad automatic weapon. It appears the purpose of this video
is
to make al-Zarqawi out to be a bumbling idiot. “Is the recently
released
video, which consists in ridiculing rather than villainizing ‘Enemy
Number
One’, part of the Zarqawi PSYOP program?” muses Michel Chossudovsky. -
It
appears the neocon-dominated Pentagon wants to retire the al-Zarqawi
PSYOP
program, as al-Zarqawi has served his purpose—demonizing the resistance
and
kicking off a “civil war” in Iraq. (Wayne Madsen writes: The U.S.
military
spokesman’s revelation that Zarqawi’s body was partly identified from
tattoos is noteworthy. Abu Abdel-Rahman al-Iraqi, described as the
Deputy
Emir of Al Qaeda in Iraq on an Al Qaeda web site, stated that Zarqawi
was a
martyred mujahed sheikh. Zarqawi was a lieutenant of strict Wahhabi
Islam
adherent Osama Bin Laden. However, why Zarqawi would have had tattoos
is
baffling. Islam specifically forbids tattoos. According to Islamic
texts,
the Prophet Mohammed forbade tattooing…) Read More
Does Abu Musab al-Zarqawi Really Exist

those who have followed the career of this veteran of the global jihad,
who
was fighting for Islam long before the world had heard of Osama bin
Laden
and whose al-Qaeda credentials have, in part, been created to fulfil
the
agendas of those who want him for other reasons. - ( Many reports have

The Lie
Factory
Only
weeks after 9/11, the Bush administration set up a secret Pentagon unit to create the case for invading Iraq. Here is the
inside story of how they pushed disinformation and bogus intelligence and led the nation to war.
Pre-war WMD intelligence report was tampered with
by U.S. Officials - Doubts, dissent removed from public report on Iraq
There are stark differences between the public version
and the then top-secret version of the October 2002 National Intelligence Estimate. For example, the public version declared
that "most analysts assess Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program" and says "if left unchecked, it probably will
have a nuclear weapon within this decade." But it fails to mention the dissenting view offered in the top-secret version by
the State Department's intelligence arm, the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, known as the INR. That view said, in part,
"The activities we have detected do not, however, add up to a compelling case that Iraq is currently pursuing what INR would
consider to be an integrated and comprehensive approach to acquire nuclear weapons. Iraq may be doing so, but INR considers
the available evidence inadequate to support such a judgment."
White
House Admits Bush Lied in 2002 State of The Union Over Al Qaeda Obtaining U.S. Nuke Plant Plans
President Bush claimed in his 2002 State of the Union
address that the U.S. discovered in Afghanistan detailed plans of U.S. nuclear plants. The Bush administration was forced
to admit this week that the claim was not based on factual evidence after the Nuclear Regulatory Commission said there was
no evidence any such plans were found in Afghanistan.
WASHINGTON -
U.S. intelligence officials
have concluded that almost all of the Iraqi defectors whose information helped make the Bush administration's case against
Saddam Hussein exaggerated what they knew, fabricated tales or were ''coached'' by others on what to say.
After
weeks of propaganda about espionage charges against Muslim Chaplain in Guantanamo, his charges are reduced to a pathetic ‘possession
of pornography’
All that BS and media/government scare tactics for
a guy that was only guilty of downloading porn! And they used the so-called espionage story to say that the evildoers were
going to get us because of this guy…
(webmaster’s
comments in red)
The only formal charges against Chaplain Yee
are mishandling classified material (using a military computer to download porn), failing to obey an order (after his superiors told him not to do that), making a false official statement (because he probably denied downloading the porn), adultery (hooking up
with an internet babe?) and conduct unbecoming an officer for allegedly downloading pornography on his government laptop.

Staged Presidential Debates - CNN planted
question at debate, student says
Los
Angeles Times, 11/11/2003
NEW YORK -- CNN planted a question
about computer preferences at last week's debate of the Democratic presidential candidates at Faneuil Hall in Boston, according
to the student who posed the query and wrote about it yesterday in an online forum of the Brown (University) Daily Herald.
During the debate, cosponsored by the nonprofit Rock the Vote organization, Alexandra Trustman asked the candidates whether
they preferred the PC or Mac format for their computers.

From the webmaster:
The recent revelation about how CNN is planting questions during presidential debates is only the tip of the iceberg
when it comes to the mass quantities of lies and propaganda that average Americans are being subject to on a daily basis.
This is why the so-called candidates never debate the REAL issues that affect Americans. The entire content of these
phony debates is STAGED and scientifically prepared by psy-ops and propaganda experts - not just the stupid question about
if they prefer a PC or a MAC. The question was so meaningless -typical of these debates- and outrageously stupid, that
this student felt compelled to say that CNN told her to ask this question.
Folks, the truth is that most news
networks like CNN, and government psychological warfare experts arrange not just presidential debates, but most of the content of television news. Most of the so-called news that you hear
and see on television are designed to shape public opinion and to persuade the public to comply with the agenda imposed by
those who control the media and our government. After they repeat the propaganda over and over, they conduct polls, focus
groups, and televised staged town meetings to test how much of the propaganda YOU have absorbed. And if you are in the minority that was not brainwashed, they will label you as an extremist, a
bad American, or un-patriotic.
This is a clear example
of how YOU no longer have a free press and a representative government.
It was all a big lie – The so-called ‘Iraqi Nuclear Weapons Program’ did not exist

The U.S. Government and the mainstream media constantly make references to Khalid
Sheikh Mohammad during terror alerts. Allegedly, he was captured last March of 2003, and according to the media, they are
happy to report that he's spilling the beans at Guantanamo Bay thanks to new military torture techniques (nothing like living
in a country where the government tortures people).
However, what they don't tell the public is that Khalid Sheikh Mohammad was actually
reported DEAD back in September of 2002. Yes folks, they are actually basing the new wonderful color-coded terror alerts on
the so-called confessions of a dead guy. So when you watch the TV news and hear something like "The White House has issued
another terror alert based on new information from Guantanamo Bay prisoner Khalid Sheikh Mohammad," you can now sit back and
laugh.
