GLOBAL ELITE GATHER IN D.C. - Trilateralists Claim to own remaining three candidates for President

True to form, those members of the media who knew about the meeting—or were themselves participants in the proceedings—refused to discuss what went on inside or report on the attendees. Luminaries at the Trilateral Commission meeting in Washington expressed confidence that they own all three major presidential candidates, who, despite political posturing, will support sovereignty-surrendering measures such as NAFTA and the “North American Union.”

“John has always supported free trade, even while campaigning before union leaders,” said one. “Hil and Barack are pretending to be unhappy about some things, but that’s merely political posturing. They’re solidly in support.”

He was referring to Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

Mrs. Clinton, they noted, held strategy sessions as first lady on how to get Congress to approve NAFTA “without changes.” As president, they agreed, she would do no more than “dot an i or cross a t.”

They expressed concern that Paul’s rallies have attracted multitudes of young people who are getting “their political education.” They want Republicans to pressure Paul to drop out now and stop his education rallies. This assignment was given to Thomas Foley, former U.S. House speaker.

Advisors to presidential front-runners held secret meeting in Febuary 08

In April of 2007, James P. Tucker Jr. reported in American Free Press that the Trilateral Commission held a secret meeting in Brussels.

The primary details leaked from this meeting regarded pressure on the United States to "adopt a carbon monoxide control policy," developing and increasing carbon taxes on products such as gasoline. They also discussed the development of the European Union and North American Union.

In addition to Trilateral chairman Peter Sutherland and former CIA head John Deutch, the list of attendees to this meeting is striking. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) attended in violation of the Logan Act of 1799. Even more interesting are the following three names: Madeleine Albright, Zbigniew Brzezinski and Richard Armitage. These three figures happen to be the foreign policy advisors to the three remaining "front-runners" in the 2008 presidential race.

According to the Washington Post, "Madeleine K. Albright, President [Bill] Clinton’s secretary of state and now chairperson of the National Democratic Institute," is Hillary Clinton's "foreign policy adviser."

"Zbigniew Brzezinski, President Carter’s national security adviser and now a Center for Strategic and International Studies counselor and trustee and frequent guest on PBS’s NewsHour with Jim Lehrer," is Barack Obama's "foreign policy adviser." And "Richard Lee Armitage, President George W. Bush’s deputy secretary of state and an international business consultant and lobbyist," is John McCain's "informal foreign policy adviser."

It seems that Ron Paul (R-TX), Mike Huckabee (R-AR) and Mike Gravel (D-AL) are the only candidates who weren't represented at the secret meeting less than a year ago. It also happens that these three candidates get the least media attention of the six total.

Consider Cernium Corp.'s "Perceptrak" video surveillance and monitoring system, recently installed by Johns Hopkins University. This technology grew out of a project funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency — the central research and development organization for the Department of Defense — to develop intelligent video analytics systems. Unlike simple video cameras monitored by security guards, Perceptrak integrates video cameras with an intelligent computer video. It uses algorithms to analyze streaming video and detect suspicious activities, such as people loitering in a secure area, a group converging or someone leaving a package unattended.

That's only the beginning.

Do Americans Care About Big Brother?

In recent weeks, the papers have been full of stories about the warehousing of information on Americans by the National Security Agency, the interception of financial information by the CIA, the stripping of authority from a civilian intelligence oversight board by the White House, and the compilation of suspicious activity reports from banks by the Treasury Department. On Thursday, Justice Department Inspector General Glenn Fine released a report documenting continuing misuse of Patriot Act powers by the FBI. And to judge from the reaction in the country, nobody cares.

A quick tally of the record of civil liberties erosion in the United States since 9/11 suggests that the majority of Americans are ready to trade diminished privacy, and protection from search and seizure, in exchange for the promise of increased protection of their physical security. Polling consistently supports that conclusion, and Congress has largely behaved accordingly, granting increased leeway to law enforcement and the intelligence community to spy and collect data on Americans. Even when the White House, the FBI or the intelligence agencies have acted outside of laws protecting those rights — such as the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act — the public has by and large shrugged and, through their elected representatives, suggested changing the laws to accommodate activities that may be in breach of them.

SO WHY ARE AMERICANS "ALLEGEDLY" UNCONCERNED ABOUT THE LOSS OF LIBERTIES?

Food Rationing Confronts Breadbasket of the World (The USA)

Many parts of America, long considered the breadbasket of the world, are now confronting a once unthinkable phenomenon: food rationing. - Major retailers in New York, in areas of New England, and on the West Coast are limiting purchases of flour, rice, and cooking oil as demand outstrips supply. There are also anecdotal reports that some consumers are hoarding grain stocks. At a Costco Warehouse in Mountain View, Calif., yesterday, shoppers grew frustrated and occasionally uttered expletives as they searched in vain for the large sacks of rice they usually buy. - The curbs and shortages are being tracked with concern by survivalists who view the phenomenon as a harbinger of more serious trouble to come. - Spiking food prices have led to riots in recent weeks in Haiti, Indonesia, and several African nations. India recently banned export of all but the highest quality rice, and Vietnam blocked the signing of new contract for foreign rice sales.

The Bush administration hasn’t slapped export controls on wheat, and The Asian countries are here buying every kind of wheat.

STORY: In lean times, biotech grains are less taboo: Soaring food prices and global grain shortages are bringing new pressures on governments, food companies and consumers to relax their longstanding resistance to genetically engineered crops. In Japan and South Korea, some manufacturers for the first time have begun buying genetically engineered corn for use in soft drinks, snacks and other foods. Until now, to avoid consumer backlash, the companies have paid extra to buy conventionally grown corn. But with prices having tripled in two years, it has become too expensive to be so finicky. "We cannot afford it," said a corn buyer at Kato Kagaku, a Japanese maker of corn starch and corn syrup.

In the United States, wheat growers and marketers, once hesitant about adopting biotechnology because they feared losing export sales, are now warming to it as a way to bolster supplies. Genetically modified crops contain genes from other organisms to make the plants resistance to insects, herbicides or disease. Opponents continue to worry that such crops have not been studied enough and that they might pose risks to health and the environment. "I think it's pretty clear that price and supply concerns have people thinking a little bit differently today," said Steve Mercer, a spokesman for U.S. Wheat Associates, a federally supported cooperative that promotes American wheat abroad. - The group, which once cautioned farmers about growing biotech wheat, is working to get seed companies to restart development of genetically modified wheat and to get foreign buyers to accept it.

The Price of Honesty - The Screwing of an American Hero

I have always believed strongly that the Drug War was the first crucial step in destroying the freedom of American citizens. Nevertheless, we should keep in mind that Celerino Castillo was not busting kids with a joint or two and trying to destroy their lives - he was going after the Central and South American cartels, which should rightly be called "Murder, Inc." Celerino did have one terrible disadvantage down there, one not shared by most of his associates. He was - and remains - an honest and honorable man. So when he learned, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that the Central Intelligence Agency was importing drugs into the United States, he did not and has not remained silent, up to and including testifying before Congress.

For these reasons and others, I do not believe it is a coincidence that Celerino was targeted on April 8th of this year by agents of BATF. He stands accused of doing what he does not even deny he has done, buying and selling guns at gun shows as a hobby and to supplement his very meager income as a teacher.

THERE MUST NEVER BE ANOTHER WACO

On February 28, 1993, agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF, now known as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives or BATFE) began their assault on the home of the Branch Davidians outside Waco, Texas. An unarmed David Koresh was shot by the agents as he stepped onto his front porch. A shootout resulted with several deaths on both sides. Shortly afterward, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took charge of the situation, and on April 19, 1993 agents from both departments (utilizing military hardware and both U.S. and foreign military advisers) assaulted the dwellings, which resulted in the deaths of 80 American citizens. Most of the victims were old men, women, and small children.

The events at Waco have contributed to the disdain of federal abuse of power like nothing since the Boston Massacre back in 1770. (By comparison, the British killed 5 Americans in that assault.) Moved by grassroots pressure, the Congress of the United States convened special hearings into the conduct of those federal agencies responsible for the Waco debacle. The result was less than satisfactory to many Americans. The congressional hearings, along with eyewitness testimony and subsequent infrared video of the events at Waco led many to believe that federal agents were allowed to lie under oath with impunity. It is a fact that crucial evidence was conveniently "lost" by federal agents. Worse still was the release of videotapes of the events by investigative reporters showing the utter absurdity and duplicity of the government's account of the tragedy. At the end of the hearings, questions remained unanswered, and no one within the federal government was held accountable. Davidians who survived the raid were tried for murder. A jury found them innocent, but no charges were ever brought against any federal agents.

Whatever one thinks of David Koresh and the Branch Davidians, they had committed no capital crimes. Neither could the charges of child abuse, illegal weapons, or illegal drug activity (charges that were used by the feds to justify their raid) be substantiated. Furthermore, it is unconscionable (not to mention a violation of U.S. law as prescribed in the Posse Comitatus Act--a law that President Bush recently had the audacity to expunge, by the way) that tanks and other military equipment would be used against mostly women and children within our own country. The bizarre tactics employed by the BATF and FBI at Waco are unfathomable and unforgivable! Our government has been more lenient and patient when dealing with many of America's deadliest enemies than it was in dealing with those poor Davidians.

There must never be another Waco!

There have been repeated studies done by a variety of accredited explosives experts and professional demolition contractors, such as former FBI agent Ted Gunderson. All of these have stated their professional opinion that the destruction of the Murrah building could only have been accomplished with top-grade military explosives, detonators, and careful placement of multiple charges. Why have the media ignored these expert opinions?Why, indeed, have the media engaged in a concerted campaign to abuse, vilify, discredit and marginalize as a "crank" or a "right-wing extremist" any explosives expert or engineer who questions the official FBI version of the bomb’s construction and explosive power?

Why was the reaction of the Clinton administration, blaming right-wing radio talk shows for the incident and demanding the most draconian police state legislation ever proposed in the United States, so swift and obviously organized? The air of orchestration about the entire government response did not escape notice even at the time, and was commented on by a number of observers across the political spectrum.

How was a normally cumbersome, inefficient, and glacially slow legislative branch able to move so quickly, so comprehensively, and so efficiently in introducing these laws which will strip Americans of what remaining freedoms they have?

Economist: Expect Fed to lower Dow to 8,000

Critic claims agreements involving billions used to shift market: Consumers should expect a deep recession, triggered by the "stealth methodology" of the Federal Reserve to "depress" the market even while lowering interest rates in an ostensible effort to stimulate economic growth, an economic analyst charges.

"The Federal Reserve is directly involved in manipulating the stock market," said Mike Bolser in a telephone interview with WND yesterday. The New York Stock Exchange finished the day down 108 points, closing at 12,635, much as Bolser predicted, despite recent emergency Fed rate cuts of 1.25 percentage points aimed at stimulating the economy. "Fed wants the Dow Jones Industrial Average and other financial indicators to descend in a managed way," Bolser said. "The Fed wants to drive the DJIA toward the 8,000 level, or below, in order to help create a deep recession which will have the effect of slowing consumption across the board and dampening the otherwise harmful effects of inflation.

So it appears that Arctic ice isn't vanishing after all

If the northern hemisphere's chilliest winter in a long time was bad news for the propagandists of global warming, they also had to face serious questions about some of the most iconic images used to support the claims that the world is hotting up towards disaster.

Last autumn the BBC and others could scarcely contain their excitement in reporting that the Arctic ice was melting so fast there would soon be none left. Sea ice cover had shrunk to the lowest level ever recorded. On Monday January 7th 2008, President George W. Bush signed HR 2640 into law. The bill is now referenced as the "NICS Improvement Amendments Act of 2007." Pro 2nd amendment grass roots gun organizations have unanimously agreed that HR 2640 should be re titled "The VETERANS DISARMAMENT ACT" as it requires the release of private medical records of veterans and citizens nationwide. If found "mentally incompetent", our veterans will lose their right to keep and bear arms, with little or no legal recourse to reinstate this inalienable constitutional right.

Once on a "NICS no gun list" a veteran will need to hire an attorney and cover all expenses out of pocket to be removed from the list. No attorney is provided by the government which is most certainly a right provided by the Supreme Court in any criminal case. Once again we are guilty before being proven innocent. If any Veteran has sought treatment for PTSD, and or, are on medication for same… They may automatically be denied this most basic right. Is this what they risked their lives for?

Should we make our men and women returning home from the Middle East choose between mental help and their 2nd amendment right? I think not. This is not only unconscionable and dangerous, this is UN-AMERICAN!

*Did Senator John McCain do anything to stop this assault on the 2nd amendment rights of veterans? No. He did nothing to bring this to the attention of the public, and did not publicly stand against HR 2640 as it was being considered, and sent to the White House by secret voice vote via the senate judiciary committee.

*Did he vote for or against HR 2640 with bill sponsor and rabid gun grabber Carolyn McCarthy, and in league with Ted Kennedy, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer et al? That is what we want to know.

If he did indeed vote against the Bill, why isn't he using his extensive profile as a presidential frontrunner to alert veterans and the American people at large?

Our calls to the McCain campaign as of the time of this press release have gone unanswered.

We ask you, the media, veteran's groups, and you the American public… To get an answer from Senator McCain on why he did not stand up for veterans and against HR 2640. In fact, we suggest that EVERY candidate should pass this LITMUS TEST: Do you support HR 2640, or do you support liberty?

The NRA has also sold out gun owners, Civil Libertarians, and veterans by working in concert with congress to ram through this draconian gun bill in the dead of night.

Please use whatever ability you have available to get Sen. McCain on the record about where he stands on the "Veteran's Disarmament Act" If he truly does support the second amendment and veteran's rights, he will work with us to REPEAL HR 2640 NOW!

President Bush Signs H.R. 660, H.R. 3690, S. 863, and H.R. 2640 :

H.R. 2640, the "NICS Improvement Amendments Act of 2007," which requires accurate information on individuals prohibited from possessing firearms to be transmitted by State and local government and Federal agencies to the Justice Department-administered National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS); and provides incentives for facilitating electronic transmission of such information to NICS.

Our strategy going forward must be to EXPOSE this bill and every alleged "conservative" that supported it. - I tried for the better part of 6 months to stop this, and the sad part is... The few of us that got out in front of 2640, were left for dead. -

RESOURCES FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND HR.2640

The bill calls for a guilty before being proven innocent program of separating which Americans may realize the 2nd amendment and which may not. According to the bill any past, present, or future "thought crime" may threaten your right to purchase or own a firearm. Without a trial!

The core of the bill's problems is section 101(c)(1)(C), which makes you a "prohibited person" on the basis of a "medical finding of disability," so long as a citizen or veteran had an "opportunity" for some sort of "hearing" before some "lawful authority" (other than a court). Presumably, this "lawful authority" could even be the psychiatrist himself.

*Note that unlike with an accused murderer, the hearing doesn't have to occur. The "lawful authority" doesn't have to be unbiased. The citizen or veteran is not necessarily entitled to an attorney -- much less an attorney financed by the government. Children with past diagnosis for ADHD, People diagnosed with Alzheimer's, veterans dealing with PTSD and who seek psychiatric help, men and woman who are charged or suspected of domestic violence, and anyone currently under medication for psychiatric reasons what so ever… Are targets of HR 2640.

We are forcing people choose between what may be essential mental help and counseling, or their 2nd amendment rights.

Funding for implementation on a state level is based on a "secret formula" set by the US Attorney General in order for the states to obtain the funding necessary to pay for this very expensive data base.

We have alerted the public to the nascent no fly lists, the coming no work lists, now we must alert you to the no gun list. We have in effect become a nation of lists, in the order of Stalin's Russia, Hitler's Germany, or Mao's China. Unless we want to realize the communism, socialism, or fascism of these failed prison states, we must act NOW or lose everything the United States of America and its constitution stands for.

Like thieves in the night, in a secret vote, with NO PUBLIC debate, with no mention by all but one of the Republican presidential candidates (that one is Ron Paul) with no coverage by the big 5 media companies, without a care for liberty and the Constitution… Our 2nd amendment rights have been put in the hands of George W. Bush.

As we predicted, Mr. Bush, an alleged conservative did sign this nightmarish bill.

Earth is now at the peak of one of its passing warm spells. It started in the 17th century when there was no industrial influence on the climate to speak of and no such thing as the hothouse effect. The current warming is evidently a natural process and utterly independent of hothouse gases.

The real reasons for climate changes are uneven solar radiation, terrestrial precession (that is, axis gyration), instability of oceanic currents, regular salinity fluctuations of the Arctic Ocean surface waters, etc. There is another, principal reason—solar activity and luminosity. The greater they are the warmer is our climate.

Astrophysics knows two solar activity cycles, of 11 and 200 years. Both are caused by changes in the radius and area of the irradiating solar surface. The latest data, obtained by Habibullah Abdusamatov, head of the Pulkovo Observatory space research laboratory, say that Earth has passed the peak of its warmer period, and a fairly cold spell will set in quite soon, by 2012. Real cold will come when solar activity reaches its minimum, by 2041, and will last for 50-60 years or even longer.

Judge gives Utah woman 1 day to finish enrollment: A homeschooling mom in Utah has been ordered by a judge to enroll her children in a public school district within 24 hours, and have them in class tomorrow, all because of a paperwork glitch that very well could be the fault of the district.

The mother, Denise Mafi, told WND that she already has enrolled her children in the district, under the threat from Judge Scott Johansen, who serves in the juvenile division of the state's 7th Judicial District, that he would order her children taken away from her. As WND has reported previously, such threats are becoming more and more common in Germany, but that nation still lives by a Nazi-era law that makes homeschooling illegal.

Mafi told WND that not only is homeschooling legal in Utah, she's been at it for nearly a decade.

And… We the People are better for it.

The democrats failed to fulfill any of their promises from 06, and rubber stamped just about everything the Bush administration pushed ahead. We didn't repeal much in 07, and in that sense we were not as successful as in 2006, but this was maybe the best thing to happen as the bigger hole the "demopublicans" dug for themselves, the more room they made for the bodies that will be buried in 2008.

2007 was a good year, but it took a lot out of me. It was an uphill climb.

The balkanization of the various Truth and Patriot movements was a bit frustrating, but no one ever said that preserving freedom would be easy I guess.

Through the ups and the downs I believe we were all forced to grow up, graduating from toddlers in the truth to young adults.

2008 promises to be a stellar year for truth and freedom. We are positioned to take our message to the next level, and apply our strategies to get the public moving in a direction that may finally end our national nightmare. It is key that everyone up their game and demand results. It is key that we stop future wars, and re-establish the checks and balances put in place to separate powers, and keep the authority in the hands of "We the People"

It is KEY that we continue in our efforts to DECENTRALIZE and REPEAL!

Refocus, recalibrate, and renew yourselves. We need each other now more than ever.

He was apparently on his way to Europe where he was to secure major funding for the development and commercialization of his technology, which could make oil obsolete as a fuel source. - Tom Bearden, a well-known figure in the cutting-edge, clean energy technology industry, wrote a lengthy report on the inventor, his death, and his technology. He said: "DeGeus was the inventor of a thin wafer-like material/device that somehow specially aligned the atoms or electron currents ongoing in that material, so that the wafer produced a constant amperage at a small voltage – continuous real power, or in other words a strange kind of “self-powering battery”. Court Finds Unlimited Police Power to Plant GPS on Vehicles

Depressing Fourth Amendment decision from a lower court: Plaintiff's car was suspected of being at the scene of several burglaries in 2002, and the police decided, after consultation with supervisors, to plant a GPS with a cellphone transmitter on the car. Plaintiff's Fourth Amendment claim failed[.] - Interesting that the officers had time to consult with "supervisors," but not with a judge (i.e., to obtain a warrant based on probable cause). - From the decision: A person traveling in an automobile on public thoroughfares has no reasonable expectation of privacy in his movements from one place to another." United States v. Knotts, 460 U.S. 276 (1983). The use of the GPS Device did not permit the discovery of any information that could not have obtained by following an automobile traveling on public roads, either physically or through visual surveillance (e.g. through the use of cameras or from a helicopter), conduct that neither requires a warrant nor implicates Fourth Amendment rights. "Nothing in the Fourth Amendment prohibit[s] the police from augmenting the sensory faculties bestowed upon them at birth with such enhancement as science and technology afford[s] them." Nearly three years after Paul Wolfowitz resigned as deputy Defense secretary and six months after his stormy departure as president of the World Bank-amid allegations that he improperly awarded a raise to his girlfriend-he's in line to return to public service. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has offered Wolfowitz, a prime architect of the Iraq War, a position as chairman of the International Security Advisory Board, a prestigious State Department panel, according to two department sources who declined to be identified discussing personnel matters. The 18-member panel, which has access to highly classified intelligence, advises Rice on disarmament, nuclear proliferation, WMD issues and other matters. "We think he is well suited and will do an excellent job," said one senior official. - Wolfowitz, now a visiting scholar at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, will replace former senator Fred Thompson, who quit over the summer to run for president. Although officials declined to say how Rice came to choose him, Wolfowitz began his government career in the 1970s in the State Department as an arms-control expert; he forged a relationship with Rice during the 2000 presidential campaign, when they both served as top foreign-policy advisers to the then candidate Bush. But his selection has raised more than a few eyebrows within State because he'll be providing advice on some of the same issues that critics say the administration got spectacularly wrong when Wolfowitz was pushing the case for the Iraq War at the Pentagon. Some entries are foreign and some are probably duplications, but the number is so large that a person could do nothing but watch police brutality videos for the rest of his life. Police brutality has crossed the line from using excessive force against a resisting Rodney King to unprovoked gratuitous violence against persons offering no resistance, such as the elderly, women, students, and elected officials.
